how do I get a commission from you?

how much does it cost?

My rate varies depending on the project. Icons are typically 25$, portraits range from $85 - $200 + depending on the number of people, pets, background details, etc. For clay + 3D items, it depends on how complex your idea is! After we get in touch we can discuss pricing further to find something that works for the both of us.

why does it cost that much?

My pricing is based on the amount of time it takes me to make the piece. Often times I work from several reference images and I have to develop a composition myself. “Cartoonizing” faces and attempting to maintain likeness is also a challenge that comes with commission work. For 3D items like pins + sculptures that can take me hours to sculpt, paint, sand, glaze, etc. My rates are based on compensating myself + my time fairly.

do I have to print the piece myself?

yes! I don’t do printing. You will receive a very high definition file through email in CMYK (this is a color profile optimized for printing).

how long will it take you?

My turnaround time is around 2 weeks. This is because I typically take multiple commissions at once, and it takes several hours for me to complete each one. Order in advance if it’s a gift!

what’s the process look like?

All that you need to do is give me an idea of what you’re looking for. (Ex: I want a portrait of my girlfriend and I and our dog. I want to be wearing this outfit, and I want my dog to be in the center, and for me and my partner to be arm in arm. I’d like a blue background). It’s okay if you don’t have a super clear concept - a general idea is okay too, and I can choose what colors I think look good. Then you send me reference pictures.

After I have your reference pictures, I develop a sketch of what the commission will look like. (No color). I send you the draft and you will give me all the edits your heart desires! (Don’t be shy! I want this to look exactly how you want it to!)

After I make the edits I will color the commission, and send the color version to you again for another round of edits (2 rounds only!). After you give me some feedback, I’ll send you the commission file over email to ensure high quality.

how do I pay you?

I take payment through zelle, venmo, or paypal. You can pay 1/2 or 1/3 (your choice) of the cost upfront, and then pay the rest upon completion. This establishes a lil bond of trust through client + artist! If you’d prefer to pay the whole cost upfront, that’s also fine as well!
